“Why English?”- The question all of us need to answer
English Language Teaching is no longer limited to teaching vocabulary and grammar. Moving beyond semantics and syntax English Studies comprise Literature Studies, Digital Humanities, Sustainable Development Goals, and much more. Indeed, English is not considered a monolith, rather it is a multiverse consisting of multiple languages and new forms such as Hinglish, Tamlish, and so on, embracing different cultures and values leading towards critical literacy to build equitable and sustainable futures.
